| Life and the processes so much for the organisms as for the
societies is a work that is supported in the engagement, in the
transformation, in the use, in the storage and the transfer of
energy. Since the environmental problems that are connected directly
or indirectly with the energy behavior of our culture, its compulsory
that we speak about the "challenge of energy" and seek
our own correspondence as thinking individuals and as organized
societies. |

Objectives:
- Try to comprehend to the students that the environmental questions
do not concern only science and its applications, but also in
values as solidarity, justice, democracy, equality. Have students
investigate who profits from the promotion of products which
are used in the households. The consequences of thoughtless use.
- Have students investigate the relation of planning and concretization
of the energy policy of our country as well as the energy policies.
It is the protection of the environment and the fighting of
pollution the direct problem and is how urgent is its the solution
(statistical research).
|
| |
Activities:
- Energy challenge (who, what are itscauses/who is challenged)
- Saving of energy (how do we contribute as individuals)
- Energy
politics /energy policies of our country
- Putting everything
into practice"
|
| |
Work:
- None renewable sources of energy/our contribution to pollution
- Each student records on a chart their family appliances and
separates them into (essential, least used, seldom used).
- Seeks
the current situation. We comment the quantitative elements.
We determine what and why it was not materialized. The students
draw the map of Greece. Place several transparencies glued together
showing regions: a) of geothermal interest b)the solar equivalent
lines, c) the medium prices of speed of the wind d) the small
hydroelectric works ) the network of natural gas.
- After the
students answer the question which they have discussed we give
the elements of statistical research (97% for the Greeks) and
comment on the difference between words and actions
